Standing Committees

Club Administration:
Responsible for coordinating risk management issues, fellowship of
members, reception of guests, interclub relations and visits, and other areas
committee members feel pertinent. Community Services:
Responsible for coordinating services for safety related to children,
senior and disabled persons. Other
potential areas are civic improvements, conservation, health, literacy, public
affairs, and meals for disadvantaged people in need. Finance and Fundraising:
Responsible for preparing a budget with estimated income and expenses,
providing recommendations as needed on financial matters impacting the
club. Responsible for securing the
funds necessary to meet club budget requirements. Human and Spiritual
Values: Committee should implement projects that
support spiritual development, provide human companionship and comfort, offer
counseling and guidance, on a need basis, to members of our club or community
members when appropriate. Membership, Growth, and
Education: Committee members strive to increase
club membership, review all membership applications and make
recommendations to the Board of
Directors, provide meaningful orientations to new members, and promote regular
attendance by all members at club meetings. Public Relations:
Responsible for helping to ensure the public receives, through the media
and other means, goals, programs, and club achievements. To assist with creating and updating our
club's website, maintaining a supply of club brochures, obtain needed supplies
from Kiwanis International to promote community awareness of club community
projects in the North Mason area.
Publish club newsletter. Sponsored Youth and Service Leadership
Programs: Encourage and promote activities to
support K-Kids, Builder's Club, and Key Club activities. Encourage our membership to participate
in sponsored youth club meetings, community service projects, and research
through Kiwanis International the possibility of creating a satellite Aktion Club in the Belfair and
Allyn communities. Encourage our Key Club to implement the BUG
Program at Hawkins for eligible 6th grade students. This committee should include our
Kiwanis Club advisors to K-Kids,
Builder's Club and Key Club. Young Children: Priority
One: Implement projects for children -
prenatal through age
5. Projects can address
maternal and child health, child care, early development, nutrition, parenting
education and support. |
